Stopped by Dealer "S" to see "J" to confirm the order change. He hadn't gotten it from my voicemail message. Gave him a new printout of the complete itemization with the updated prices he quoted and the M692. He said he would fax the change in Monday and it should show up on the subsequent report. Because I recently read Chris Huck's commentary on Porsche Pete's that basically said "if your dealer quotes you a May delivery for a car you discuss in January, it's already been built," I asked "J" about this. He reiterated that my order is a February allocation but is not yet built or spec'ed, and that the build/completion date isn't yet actually assigned. He said that the build date would be known definitely before the end of January, and that it would be February build, perhaps March if there's an unexpected delay, which would mean an April or May delivery in either case. Saw "W" there as well.
