Wow! Dealer "C" actually called me back. Sales manager "R" responded to my voicemail of two weeks ago. He says that they mailed me a check for my deposit right when I canceled my order, five months ago. The problem is that they mailed it to my old address (printed on my deposit check) rather than my current address (given to them on every form). Of course, the current tenant at that ancient address has presumably discard this piece of "junk mail." "R" agreed to send me a new check to the correct address if I inquire with the old address. He will then put a stop payment on the old check and send the new one. I assume I will have to pay for the stop payment.

Why they couldn't have answered my initial inquiry long, long ago, is still a mystery and a black mark on dealer "C"'s customer service.
