Open Test Friday, Foiled Again

Tomorrow was supposed to be a second attempt to do an Open Test Friday at Thunderhill after last week's tire trouble.

First, the tire shop attempted to patch the punctured tire, but it wouldn't hold the patch airtight. They tried several times, different methods, but it just didn't work. They ordered a replacement tire and I picked it up today, wondering whether the race tires would actually survive a two-hour freeway trip up to Thunderhill.

But I called the track office at Thunderhill to confirm that Friday was still Open, and unfortunately someone's rented out the track for the day. So, no go!

Since I've been foiled at two attempts at Open Test Friday, I'm signing up right now for the next two-day school at Thunderhill: a Street School on Saturday November 13, and an Advanced Street School on Sunday November 14. And it looks like there will be several Boxster Boarders there on one or the other of the days!
