I guess I'm going to have to keep a running log of how many times I've been duped by April Fool's web pages today.

When I checked Doug Bowman's site Stop Design, I though, Hmmm, this redesign is not an improvement. I liked the old one better. And this just looks a whole lot like Mezzoblue. Well, yeah, you Fool, because Stop Design and Dave Shea's Mezzoblue swapped their CSS design for April Fools, with Doug's deadpan explanation completely fooling me until I followed his link to Mezzoblue and saw his design there and I went, ahhh heh-heh.

Next, upon visiting Macintouch, it appeared that a hacker or domain squatter had turned it into a placeholder/dating service site! Well, after hitting reload to see if there was some kind glitch it dawned on me that, yes, it's April 1 today. And Macintouch is "back" now.

Later, I followed a link on Tim Bray's site Ongoing, referencing a new replacement for TCP that Tim said was finally ready to hit the streets. Fortunately, after only a few seconds of reading about XCP, the XML-based drop-in replacement for TCP, and thinking, you've got to be kidding, this is a completely idiotic idea, I remembered what day it was. But it had me going for a moment there.
