Hex Wrench
About Hex Wrench
Hex Wrench is a small application that performs several related tasks:
- Converts between Hexadecimal, Binary, Signed Decimal, Unsigned Decimal, ASCII, and EBCDIC as you type.
- Performs simple arithmetic and logical operations on the above data types.
- Displays ASCII and EBCDIC character code pages.
You can cut and paste to/from other applications using standard Clipboard functions.
The help window describes the operations in detail.
The main window is shown below, and there are also character reference grid windows for ASCII and EBCDIC. In the main window, you simply type into any of the fields, and as you type the value of the input field is instantly converted and displayed in the other five fields. You don't need to tell the program to convert; it converts what you type "on-the-fly". You can use the keyboard or the buttons for input and for the calculator functions.
